Garlic Chicken

The recipe is gonna sound like you’re using a 11214364_10153464414899891_6965319234417546163_nlot of garlic but the recipe is done the garlic actually will have taken on a sweet taste. It’s just a good chicken recipe.

You’ll need:

1-whole chicken cut into 8 parts

2-tbs of olive oil

1/2 cup of white wine, dry not sweet

1-tsp of dry oregano

Salt

Pepper

3-heads of garlic broken apart with skin left on

1-tbs of butter

1/4 cup chicken stock

1-tsp lemon juice

Directions:

  1. Make sure the chicken is dry, if need be dry the parts with paper towels and place on a plate in the fridge for an hour.
  2. Season the chicken with salt and pepper and in a Dutch Oven or heavy pot with a lid heat the oil and brown all the chicken parts to a golden brown.
  3. Remove the chicken to a plate.
  4. Add the garlic and sauté until the garlic is a golden brown. This will take about 5-6 minutes.
  5. Add the wine and deglaze all the brown bits off the pot. Use a wooden spoon that will work best.
  6. Reduce the wine by half.
  7. Add the chicken stock and bring to a boil.
  8. Add the chicken to the pot with the oregano.
  9. Cover and cook until the chicken is done. This will take 30-40 min.
  10. When the chicken is done remove it to a plate.
  11. Add the lemon juice to the pot.
  12. Smash the garlic into the sauce then strain the sauce into a small pot and
    discard the garlic.
  13. Bring the sauce to a boil and add the butter and reduce by half.
  14. Pour the sauce over the chicken and serve.

This recipe is incredible….have some bread ready to sop up the sauce, it’s amazing.
