The New York Times: Making Friends Aloft, With Meatballs as the Icebreaker

BUSINESS DAY – Frequent Flier
August 3rd, 2010

Q. How often do you fly?

A. Lately, at least once a week, and sometimes twice a week.

Q. What’s your least favorite airport?

A. Newark. I always have a problem there with delays when I’m trying to leave, and delays in landing when I’m trying to come home.

Q. Of all the places you’ve been, what’s your favorite?

A. India. It’s like Disneyworld on steroids. Absolutely nothing compares to its uniqueness.

Q. What’s your secret airport vice?

A. Sometimes I get into a private lounge by giving away samples. It used to be garments. Now, it’s meatballs.
